As Senior Assistant Principal in charge of safeguarding as well as the Designated Safeguarding Lead at John Smeaton Academy, it is my responsibility to ensure that all students feel safe in school and know how to get support to keep themselves and each other safe. I am passionate in my ambition that at John Smeaton Academy we get the right support for the right child at the right time. I also have responsibility for Alternative Provision and ensure that students at John Smeaton Academy have access to the appropriate support. As the senior leader linked to Year 8, I work closely with the pastoral team to ensure that all students in Year 8 are supported in meeting our academy values.
